Good morning, everyone. Thank you for being here today. I want to talk about something that affects all of us — how we communicate under pressure. When we stand in front of an audience, the words we have rehearsed can suddenly feel far away. Our heart races. Our mouth dries out. And the slide deck that made perfect sense yesterday becomes a blur. But here is what I have learned after years of coaching speakers at every level: the antidote to that fear is not talent. It is repetition. When you have said the words out loud so many times that they feel like breathing, your body stops fighting you. You find your rhythm. And the audience, sensing your calm, leans in. So my invitation to you today is simple: go home, find a quiet room, and read your words aloud. Not in your head — aloud. Because the gap between how we sound in our imagination and how we sound in a room is where every great speaker does their work.

How to use this teleprompter

Paste or type your speech in the box above, then drag the pace slider to your target words-per-minute rate. Hit Play and the text will scroll at exactly the speed you need to hit that pace. Pause at any time, adjust the pace, and resume — the scroll picks up where it left off.

Why read-aloud practice beats silent rehearsal

Reading a speech in your head is roughly twice as fast as saying it out loud — which means silent rehearsal systematically under-prepares you. When you read aloud with a teleprompter, you train your mouth, your breath, and your ears at once. You discover which sentences trip you up, where the natural pauses fall, and whether the words actually sound like you.

What a teleprompter won’t tell you

A scrolling script shows you your words, but it can’t hear your filler words, measure your real pace, or tell you whether your delivery sounds confident. Speakfect records you speaking and gives you feedback on all of that — so you know how you actually sound, not just how you planned to sound.

Go beyond the script — get real feedback

Speakfect listens as you speak and coaches you on filler words, pace, and confidence. Read your script aloud, then record it with Speakfect and hear exactly how it sounds.
